About the event
PawHack AU
PawHack AU is Australia’s first student-led hackathon dedicated to animal health, welfare, and veterinary innovation.
Over an intensive weekend, students and early-career builders from diverse backgrounds, including veterinary science, engineering, biotech, design, business, and computer science, will collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to tackle real-world challenges facing animals and the people who care for them.
Participants will ideate, prototype, and pitch innovative solutions ranging from medical devices and diagnostics to digital tools, biotech concepts, and new models of care. Teams will be supported by mentors from the veterinary, startup, and research ecosystems and will present their ideas to a panel of industry judges.
No prior hackathon or technical experience is required. PawHack AU is designed to be inclusive, hands-on, and impact-driven, empowering the next generation to shape the future of animal care in Australia.
